A Magical Evening; Dinner and a Show fundraiser
This special night will feature a delicious dinner followed by a magic show featuring Mark Read and Kim Worrall. Hosted by the Friends of the Hillsboro Community Senior Center (FHCSC) and the Hillsboro Community Senior Center, all proceeds from this benefit will support the expansion of our programs so essential to meeting the growing needs of our community. The Hillsboro Community Senior Center is a vibrant and centrally located offering diverse programs throughout the week. Often we act as the social hub for Hillsboro seniors and our activities are directed are helping them through the difficult processes that come with retiring, downsizing and discomforts associated with age.
We are excited to welcome you and your friends, family, and colleagues to our enchanting event! You can reserve a table for eight for $350.00, which includes two drink tickets per guest, a delicious meal, dessert, and an unforgettable magic show. Individual tickets are also available for $50.00 each. Your tax-deductible contribution directly supports the wide range of services we provide to seniors in Washington County. It is fundraisers like this and generous partners like you that determine whether our low prices can remain, or if increased costs will unfortunately have to be passed on to those who can afford it the least.
Background: Currently the only independent meal program in Washington County with an on-site Chef producing delicious, nutritious low-cost meals for our patrons. Other congregate meal sites are experiencing a decline in participation, our numbers continue to grow monthly with a current average of sixty-eight people at each meal. FHCSC also raises money for the center through weekly bingo on Wednesday night a Monday morning nickel bingo. We have a gift shop on site showcasing hand crafted treasures and other gift items. All of these proceeds benefit the center as do our annual Sip and Shop in June and Bazaar in November
