A Life Saved After Stroke: Now What? – Virtual & In Person
“Life Saved after Stroke: Now What” is a 90-minute class presented by Valley Caregiver Resource Center. Our Guest Speaker Emily Haven, PT, DPT, C/NDT, CBIS will be joining us to talk about several different topics regarding stroke survivors. Topics will include: Understanding a general overview of evidence-supported assessment and rehabilitation practices. Define salience and understand how it applies to create motivating therapeutic goals. Understanding multifactorial approach to individual and unique goal making, including expected time frame in active therapy, safety concerns, patient goals, family goals, and discharge disposition. Participants will also understand the benefits of a multi-disciplinary approach to post-stroke rehabilitation.
