"A Journey through Italy" vintner dinner featuring Marchesi Antinori
Join Mia Rosebud for “A Journey through Italy,” a lively oenophile affair that will honor the legendary winery Marchesi Antinori and feature selections from its vineyards in Piedmont, Tuscany, and Chianti Classico.
The evening will commence at 6:30 p.m. with a “vin ordinaire” reception followed by a seated five-course meal matched with wine pairings at 7 p.m.
Highlights include:
6:30 p.m.-7 p.m.: Welcome wine reception showcasing 2022 Tormaresca ‘Furia di Calafuria’ Rosé 2022 (Puglia) complemented with prosciutto, melon, and crab cakes with arugula salad.
7 p.m.-9 p.m.: Gourmet dinner pairing with vintages from Marchesi Antinori’s legendary wine portfolio:
Course 1: Shrimp scampi with crostini/Guado al Tasso Vermentino 2023 (Bolgheri)
Course 2: Layered eggplant with Pecorino Romano cheese and fresh basil/Badia a Passignano Chianti Classico Gran Selezione 2021 (Chianti Classico)
Course 3: Fusilli ragu with whipped ricotta cheese/Prunotto Barolo Cerretta 2019
Course 4: Osso buco over creamy risotto/Tignanello 2020
Course 5: Chef’s selection of Italian desserts
Dinner costs $195 per person, excluding tax and tip. Guests are encouraged to make reservations as seating is limited.
