7th Annual Ravenswood on Tap Returns in July with Local Beer, Axe-Throwing, Live Music, & More!

Join the Greater Ravenswood Chamber of Commerce (GRCC) for the seventh annual Ravenswood on Tap returning July 20-21, 2024. The neighborhood’s craft beer festival features beer and spirits from local breweries and distilleries for a two-day celebration of Malt Row – one of the most prolific craft brewing communities in the country. Ravenswood on Tap is all about local businesses with food from some of Chicago’s favorite restaurants and food trucks, an extensive line-up of live music and entertainment, as well as handmade goods from local retailers and artists. Located along Ravenswood Avenue between Berteau & Belle Plaine, the festival includes a suggested donation of $10 to benefit small business support and community programming from the GRCC (501c6) and public art and placemaking projects from the Ravenswood Community Council (501c3). Proceeds will additionally benefit Friends of Ravenswood Elementary (501c3), Ravenswood Neighbors Association (501c3), Common Pantry (501c3), and several other community fundraising partners. Participating breweries and distilleries this year will include Begyle Brewing, Cultivate by Forbidden Root, Demo Brewing, Dovetail Brewery, Half Acre Beer Company, Hop Butcher for the World, KOVAL Distillery, Is/Was Brewing, and Spiteful Brewing. Guests will be able to satisfy hungry appetites with bites from local restaurants while browsing goods from artists and shops. Get ready for a little friendly competition with an energetic line-up of activities and programming. On Tap will have lawn games and axe-throwing (back by popular demand) to enjoy throughout the weekend. A few activities guests can expect include: · Self Defense Demos from Titan Gym · Homebrew Samples from Gnome Brew · Sparring Demos from Chicago Swordplay Guild · Live Painting by John Airo – Saturday from 12pm – 8pm · Kendo (Japanese Fencing) Demonstrations from Goseikan Kendo Dojo · Alphorn Performances – Saturday & Sunday from 2:30pm – 4:30pm · Axe-Throwing It wouldn’t be a festival without music! Once you’ve nailed that bullseye with an axe, head over to the stage to catch some of Chicago’s most exciting musicians and bands.
