AfroFest Returns to Richmond & Henrico Virginia! Celebrate African Culture at “AfroFest RVA 2026”, August 29th 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm, Richmond Raceway Complex, 600 E Laburnham Ave,- Old Dominion Building, Richmond VA 23222, hosted by ACN – The African Community Network – RVA in partnership with the City of Richmond OIRE – Office of Immigrant & Refugee Engagement, Henrico County, ReEstablish Richmond & Home Depot . MC’d by Richmond’s own Clovia Lawrence - “Miss Community Clovia”, Special Guests to include Lt. Governor of VA – Ghazala Hashmi, Richmond VA’s Mayor Danny Avula & Henrico County’s Deputy Manager for Safety Mr. Jackson Baynard.
Performing Artist’s “Nuke Major” Afrobeats & Dance Group (Nigerian), “EziBu Muntu” – Richmond’s premier West African Dance Troupe, “Tapha Gningue” Cultural Dance Entertainer of Senegal, “Lady Earth” of Liberia, Slimboyz AfroBeats (Liberia), “Saturn Has Ears Kids” Musical Band & Audience participation. Live DJ “Augustine Weah Doe”. Kidz-Zone w/Bouncy Houses, Cultural Activities for Adults and Kids. “Parade of Nations”, “Fashion Show”. AfroFest’s Soccer Tournament Winners will be announced & Trophy presented by Richmond’s Honorable Mayor Danny Avula. “Community Stars” recognitions and awards presented by Lt. Governor Ghazala Hashmi. Libations ceremony will start the Day.
