55 South Festival
The Third Annual 55 SOUTH, a music festival at Hotel Saint Vincent in collaboration with our friends from Chicago based record label International Anthem, returns to New Orleans on Saturday, October 19, 2024. Named after the interstate connecting Chicago and New Orleans, ‘55 SOUTH’ brings together artists with roots in the two musically vibrant cities. This year, featured performers include modern music icons Tortoise, Kumasi Afrobeat Orchestra, proto-trance jazz quintet SML, and psychedelic world twang artist Gitkin. Plus, DJ sets by Chicago House legend Chez Damier with lead up support from the Windy City’s Shaun J. Wright as well as New Orleans’ own Quickweave and phlegm.
Join us in the courtyard for live music and at Evangeline Hall for an Afterglow DJ Dance Party featuring pop-ups from iconic Chicago’s institutions Smartbar and Meadowlark, plus food, merch, and so much more.
