Urban American Outdoors TV (UAOTV) along with partnering host, the US Forest Service, US Fish & Wildlife, NPS Healthy Parks Healthy People, National Wildlife Federation, and the Bureau of Land Management will host the 4th Annual Urban Kids Fishing Derby Washington DC. The fishing experience and celebration will be held on Saturday June 2, 2018 at the Constitution Gardens located at 1850 Constitution Ave. NW, 20024 within the National Mall. Registration and derby begins at 8:00 am and derby ends at 12 noon. This is a catch & release derby and it is free.
The Kids Derby is free for youngsters between the ages of 4 to 15, and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. All registered participants will receive a free pole to keep. If you are interested in having your youngsters participate you can preregister at www.urbankidsfish.com or call us for info at 913-334-5177. The derby is limited to the first 250 kids.
As always our youth who have the winning catches will receive gifts and other outstanding prizes. For the biggest fish there will be a $100.00 prize. We will also have goodie bags. The entire derby will be filmed for an upcoming segment on Urban American Outdoors TV with host Wayne Hubbard. The award winning outdoors lifestyle program airs weekly on TV affiliates across the country. The show offers outdoor enthusiast’s a chance to view outdoors from a different perspective. Wayne Hubbard has for the past nineteen years been sharing his outdoor adventures, conservation tips, green ideas, recipes, wildlife information and has mentored over 100,000 youth in the greater Kansas City area. Urban American Outdoors airs weekly on Bounce TV KC.
