Every year, thousands gather in Jackson Ward to reflect on the legacy of 2nd Street Festival—a historic epicenter of Black entrepreneurship, arts, and culture known as “the Harlem of the South.” At Latham & Martin Accident and Injury Attorneys, we believe in protecting and giving back to the neighborhoods that make Richmond unique. We are proud to join this year's festivities as Friends of the 2nd Street Festival, which marks 38 years of uniting our city through culture and music.
Taking place Saturday, October 3 (11:30 AM – 7:00 PM) and Sunday, October 4 (12:00 PM – 6:00 PM), this free two-day festival produced by Venture Richmond Events features three stages of live music, including legendary DJ and producer DJ Jazzy Jeff on Saturday and Richmond's own saxophonist and funk leader Plunky & Oneness closing on Sunday. With an expansive Kidz Zone, local food vendors, the Richmond Metropolitan Antique Car Club, and an artisan marketplace, there is something for everyone.
