The 27th Annual YES! Dance Festival will be held FRI., June 5 and SAT., June 6 at Firehouse Theatre.. This festival reflects current trends in contemporary dance and theatre, featuring Dance Magazine’s “25 to Watch” Rebecca Margolick (Vancouver BC) and Emiko Nakagawa (New York City) – the first tap dancer at YES! Presented at Firehouse Theatre, the festival will also feature performances by Organi City, Jonathan Pattiwael (Texas); SarAika Movement Collective; Megan Mazarick (Philadelphia); Eric Rivera (Richmond); and K Dance (Richmond). These artists have traveled to Richmond from across the U.S. and abroad to share their contemporary choreography and exquisite dancing. K Dance has hosted many performers from Dance Magazine’s "25 to Watch” list, as well as Fulbright Fellows, MacArthur Fellows, recipients of Princess Grace awards in dance, and choreographers and companies that perform at the Kennedy Center. Tickets are available at kdance.org for 3 total performances: 6/5 at 7:30pm and 6/6 at 2pm & 7:30pm
