2025 Martinez Historical Society Home Tour
Martinez has the most vintage homes in our area making our Home Tour a popular regional event. Along with six homes, we have two museums, and the vintage Sportsman’s Club. Many of this year’s homes are in the popular Craftsman style, in what have been elite neighborhoods in the hills to the east and west of town. Our tour start point is the beautiful 1937 Martinez Refining Company Clubhouse at 1635 Pacheco Blvd, Martinez. This was built in the style of an Arts & Crafts hunting lodge.
Each home is staffed by a knowledgeable docent team and we provide comfortable shuttles to travel among the homes.
Historically, as Martinez was the commercial and political center of Contra Costa County, back to its origins as a Gold Rush Era seaport. Typically, we have had about 500 people join the tour, who not only enjoyed the homes, but also learned about the history of Martinez and our region. Visitors are amazed by the gardens and interiors of these private homes.
