2023 Virginia Osprey Festival in Colonial Beach

Colonial Beach, Virginia, located on the beautiful Potomac River, will host its 5th Annual Virginia Osprey Festival on Saturday, April 15, 2023 on Town Hill from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM with pre-events on Friday night, and post-events on Sunday. The festival will offer educational presentations, osprey nest tours, live raptors, activities for children, bird walks, and a wide variety of exhibitors and vendors. Visitors are encouraged to spend the weekend, so book your hotel or cottage now! On Friday night, the 2nd Friday Art walk will take place in the Historic District of Colonial Beach featuring bird and wildlife art presented by local artists. On Saturday after the festival, Colonial Beach Brewing will host the 2nd Annual Grand Ole O’spry Concert. On Sunday, the Northern Neck Audubon Society and the Northern Neck Master Naturalists will lead guided bird walks at the James Monroe Birthplace and Westmoreland State Park. Also on Sunday, The Town of Colonial Beach Parks and Recreation will host "Soar Like and Osprey" kite flying event on the beach! All events on Town Hill are free. Presentations at the fisheries Building, Trolley and Golf Cart Nest Tours require tickets. Early bird tickets can be purchased online. Individual tickets are $10 and a Full Nest family ticket is $15. Tickets at the gate will be $15 (individual) and $20 (family). A program schedule, pre- and post- festival events can be found on the festival website at https://virginiaospreyfestival.org. This event is co-hosted by Downtown Colonial Beach and Colonial Beach Greenspace.
