1515 Conversation with Lyuda Cameron: Together For Peace - A Meeting of Compassionate Minds
In this presentation, Lyuda will discuss how Sooner Hope supports Ukrainians living in the country providing field medicine, first aid kits, thermal wear, and more. Oklahoma based Ukrainians will join Lyuda in sharing their personal stories as well.
The talk will be held in 1515’s exhibition space with the backdrop of our current exhibition, “Visions of Courage,” featuring two Ukrainian artists, Daniel Green and Yulaiyla Grays Larru. Lyuda reached out to 1515 to connect with the Ukrainian artists and 1515 now has a partnership with Sooner Hope to sell greeting cards with work of children artists to benefit the children of Zaporizhzhia. Proceeds from the exhibition sales will benefit Ukrainian relief.
Additionally, Sooner Hope has organized an exhibition at Oklahoma Contemporary titled Colors of Freedom: Ukrainian Children for Peace with artworks created by young Ukrainians expressing their fears, hopes, and dreams. Be sure to visit Oklahoma Contemporary to experience the exhibition in person.
