142 Years of a Public Library in Webster Groves
This year marks the 75th anniversary of the Webster Groves Public Library building on Lockwood Ave. But did you know this recognizable building is actually the fifth home for a public library in Webster Groves? WGPL Reference Librarian John Egel will present the full history of a public library in Webster Groves, which stretches back to 1884. The talk will be given at the Monday Club, which had so done so much in the early years to make our library such an integral part of the community.
