Two thoughtful and informative converging events. Traci Asher, author/Thriver of 1 Cancer Patient: A unique photo journal to guide difficult cancer conversations, is returning to her hometown for Breast Cancer Awareness month, while her Chicagoan father/photographer, Warren Perlstein, is exhibiting his architectural photographs for Open House Chicago. Traci, along with her dad, other talented photographers, and loved ones, worked together throughout her 9 year fight with metastatic breast cancer to create and publish an effective tool to ease fear of the unknown often felt by newly diagnosed cancer patients and their caregivers. With raw and sometimes humorous images and diary entries, this book shows that a good, though altered life, is possible after surgeries, treatments, and side effects. Join the conversation with the daughter and father team, enjoy the art, buy a book, and have it autographed.
