Share the Road Campaign Overview The Outdoor Adventure Center is sponsoring Share the Road Week, March 3rd – March 7nd, 2014. Share the Road is a campaign to encourage bicyclists, motorists, and pedestrians to become more aware of each other and learn safety tips for the road. All are invited and encouraged to sign the Share the Road pledge to make a commitment to using the road safety and responsibly. Information table will be set up on UNA's Campus, where anyone can come and sign the pledge and learn some quick tips about road safety.
Share the Road Events
Sign the Pledge: March 3rd – March 7nd 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Visit the Guillot University Center (GUC) and sign the pledge to show your support!
Community Rides: Every Day at 10:30 a.m.
Participate in a group rides from the GUC , strolling through UNA's campus promoting Share the Road to the UNA community.
We will meet in the GUC before to decorate our bikes. The ride will be about 20 minutes, starting and ending in the GUC, - making a loop around campus.
Campaign Goals
The goals of this campaign are to:
•Raise awareness among motorists, bicyclists, and pedestrians about the rules of the road
•Increase the comfort level of bicyclists with riding on the road
•Promote responsible safe biking habits
•Support the fast growing popularity of biking as a means of transportation.
