Howard Atwood Kelly, a renowned doctor and one of the founders of Johns Hopkins Medical College, is well known for his accomplishments in the field of gynecology. His dedication to his religion and the Temperance Movement has also been fairly well documented. What many people do not know is that Dr. Kelly, like his sister Dora Kelly Lewis, was also a dedicated suffragist. Join Dr. Amy Rosenkrans on Wednesday, April 10 at 5:30 pm to hear about the suffrage work of the Kelly siblings.
Seating is limited.
Visitors will be able to view our Votes for Women exhibit before and after the talk.
Event made possible in part by support from Harford County and the Maryland Women's Heritage Center.
