Community Meeting to Discuss EPA's Proposed Bear Creek Sediments Superfund Cleanup Plan
EPA is providing technical assistance services for the communities surrounding the Bear Creek Sediments Superfund site.
In January, EPA released a technical document describing their preferred approach to clean up the Superfund site (also summarized in a fact sheet). EPA presented this information to the community in a public meeting on February 6th. EPA is accepting questions and comments about this document until April 9, 2024.
We will be holding a meeting with a technical advisor to explain the preferred cleanup approach in greater detail. In addition, our technical advisor has summarized several questions and concerns voiced by the community, as well as some draft questions that the community could use, if desired, to present their public comments to EPA.
This meeting is open to all members of the public to learn more about EPA’s proposed cleanup and to discuss questions and concerns to pose to EPA during the public comment period.
