The Manassas Symphony Orchestra (MSO) joins the internationally acclaimed Raleigh Ringers in concert. Since 1990, The Raleigh Ringers has dazzled audiences with unique interpretations of sacred, secular, and popular music, including famous rock 'n' roll tunes arranged just for handbells. The Manassas Symphony and the Raleigh Ringers will perform a brand-new original piece written for handbells and string quintet by Matthew Compton and William Payn entitled "Lux Aeterna."
Under the direction of David M. Harris, The Raleigh Ringers is considered among the finest handbell ensembles in the world. The group's tours have included performances in 39 states, the District of Columbia, Canada, England, and France. The ensemble has released seven CDs, and two holiday concert DVDs and their holiday concert specials have been broadcast on American Public Television stations.
The Manassas Symphony Orchestra (MSO), led by music director James Villani, celebrates its 30th year as Prince William County's premiere volunteer classical symphony. MSO is known for its affordable family-friendly concerts and promotion of the musical arts with an emphasis on education.
