The Nerdy Salon Celebrates First Anniversary with Grand Opening Event
The Nerdy Salon is celebrating one year of serving the community with
style, inclusivity, and a safe space for all—and you're invited to the official Grand Opening
Celebration! Join the festivities on Saturday, June 21st, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at 400
Grove Street, Worcester, MA.
Since opening its doors, The Nerdy Salon has grown into a beloved space where
everyone—especially neurodivergent and LGBTQIA+ individuals—can feel safe, seen, and
stylish. Now, after a full year of transformations and community building, the salon is ready
to celebrate in true nerdy fashion.
The open house event will feature:
• Salon tours showcasing the salon’s low-stimulation, sensory-friendly design
• Nerdy trivia and fandom-themed fun
• Snacks and refreshments from the salon’s cozy drink and snack bar
• Cosplay-friendly atmosphere—graphic tees and costumes encouraged!
• Free parking and welcoming vibes for all attendees
"We’ve spent the last year building a space where comfort and self-care go hand in hand—
with a fun twist," said Melissa Chan, founder and owner of The Nerdy Salon. "This
celebration is a thank-you to our amazing community and an open invitation for others to
come see what we’re all about."
