4oth Annual Worcester Irish Festival


Sponsored by the members of the Worcester Division 36 Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH) & Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians (LAOH) organizations, Worcester’s Irish Festival returns on Saturday, March 2nd, celebrating its 40th anniversary! The event, being sponsored in part by Mirick O’Connell, Rockland Trust and Webster Five, will be held from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. at St. Spyridon Greek Orthodox Church Hall, 102 Russell Street Worcester. Opening ceremonies will kick off at 11:30 a.m. with a presentation of the colors by Division 36 Color Guard, singing of both the American and Irish national anthems, followed by a performance by the Colonial Pipers: Youth Bagpipe and Drum Band of Boston. Additional live entertainment throughout the day will include: • 12:00 p.m. Murphy Academy of Irish Dance • 1:00 p.m. Belfast Cowboys • 3:30 p.m. Police Pipes & Drums of Worcester • 4:00 p.m. McInerney School of Irish Dance • 5:30 p.m. Festival return of The Brennan Brothers, one of Central Massachusetts most beloved Irish trios. Corned beef sandwiches, hot dogs, chips, and more will be available for purchase, along with plenty of drinks and libations! A variety vendors will be selling an assortment of Irish attire and novelties, including special 40th anniversary commemorative t-shirts, alongside raffles and loads of good craic for everyone throughout the day! Admission is $8 for adults, $6 for seniors, under 12 free.
