PMC Kids Ride: Acton-Boxboro-Maynard

The Acton-Boxboro-Maynard PMC Kids Ride will be one of 18-20 PMC Kids Rides throughout New England in 2023. In 2022, 15 PMC Kids Rides attracted over 1,000 young cyclists and 450 volunteers to raise more than $325,000 as part of the Pan-Mass Challenge’s (PMC) record-breaking $69 million gift to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. 100 percent of every rider-raised dollar directly supports cancer research and patient care at Dana-Farber. PMC Kids Rides engage local youth in philanthropy in a safe and athletic way, giving them the opportunity to join over 6,000 adult PMC cyclists in their mission to fund adult and pediatric patient care and cancer research at Dana-Farber. The PMC is a two-day, 211-mile bike-a-thon held the first weekend of every August. Since 1980, the PMC has raised over $900 million for Dana-Farber. Since the first ride in 1998, the PMC Kids Rides program has raised more than $10 million. To provide the young cyclists with additional motivation, the PMC recognizes participants in the Kids Rides program who go above and beyond with their fundraising. Riders who raise $450 or more will be honored as a PMC Kids Heavy Hitter, and riders who raise over $950 will be honored as a PMC Kids Breakaway Fundraiser. Both PMC Kids Heavy Hitters and Breakaway Fundraisers will be recognized with a special PMC item and certificate to distinguish their achievement. The Acton-Boxboro-Maynard PMC Kids Ride will be held on June 4, 2023, from 8:30AM- 12PM, at NARA Park 25 Ledgerock Way Acton, Massachusetts 01720. There is a $20 registration fee and a $40 fundraising minimum. The PMC Kids Rides program is presented by Yawkey Foundations; program sponsors include Yasso, 105.7 WROR, and Landry’s Bicycles.
