For the second in our series on Colonial Life, the Iron Work Farm hosts a workshop in the secrets of colonial nocturnal life, starting at Jones Tavern at 10:00 with bed-making and a traditional breakfast. At 1 p.m., we will join Col. Francis Faulkner's wife, Rebecca, at the Faulkner House at 5 High Street, where, as part of the Freedom's Way Hidden Treasures program, she will show off the travel desk the Colonel used on the road with the Massachusetts troops in the Revolutionary War. The Nashoba Valley Weavers will also be on hand to demonstrate traditional textile-making techniques.
Supported by the Acton-Boxborough Cultural Council, a local agency supported by the Mass. Cultural Council, a state agency.
Reservations are recommended, to [email protected]
