The Iron Work Farm's two Acton house museums will be open--Jones Tavern, 128 Main Street, from 1 to 3:00 p.m. and the Jones-Faulkner Homestead, 5 High Street, from 3 to 5 p.m.
Come explore these colonial gems--Acton's only remaining pre-Revolutionary tavern (1735/1750), and the oldest house in Acton (built 1707), where the town's West Militia gathered on April 19, 1775 to march to Concord, and from which Col. Francis Faulkner left to take charge of the 3rd Middlesex Regiment at the start of the Revolutionary War.
Members of the Nashoba Valley Weavers' Guild will also be on hand to demonstrate weaving, spinning, and other textile crafts.
Parking is available on-site or nearby.
