07/15/2024 10:30 AM 07/15/2024 11:00 AM America/Anguilla Groton History Center’s 1st Children’s Storytime in Georgianna’s Garden On Friday July 12th, the Groton History Center hosted their first Children’s Storytime program located in Georgianna’s Garden behind the historic Boutwell House. This program was free for infants to school aged children and their caregivers. Twenty-five children and their families heard a few beloved classic stories by Eric Carle, while they enjoyed the beautiful garden grounds and views of Gibbet Hill. The Groton History Center plans to do more of these public programs in the future; and welcomes new ideas and volunteers to help with its mission to connect with the community and inspire learning and passion for history.
