At this special concert, folk musician Marc Berger will perform songs from his album, RIDE, and share some unforgettable stories about his experiences as an easterner in remote parts of the mountain and desert West. This free concert will be held at the Fitchburg Senior Center, 14 Wallace Ave., on Friday, October 18 at 6:00pm.
Marc's life has been about pursuing twin passions: creating, recording and performing his original songs and exploring the American West. He’s performed at Austin's SXSW Music Festival and the Kerrville Folk Festival and opened for Bob Dylan and other national acts and his antinuclear anthem The Last One was a staple of Richie Havens' concerts. Marc’s critically acclaimed album, RIDE, a collection of songs all having to do with the romance of the West has received national airplay and been licensed by STARBUCKS for worldwide in-store airplay.
This program is supported by a grant from the Fitchburg Cultural Council, a local agency, which is supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. Thank you to the Fitchburg Senior Center for hosting this concert.
