“Women, Witches, and Beer (Oh My!)” - FPC Sunday Service

First Parish Church of Stow & Acton (FPC), Unitarian Universalist, will hold a service that explores the power stories have over us to change and shape what is perceived as true. By way of example, the Rev. Dr. Cynthia L. Landrum will dive into the case of beer, where women dominated beer-making for thousands of years until they were accused of being witches for doing so. Let’s raise a glass – or stein - to Women’s History Month! The service will be held at 10 a.m., both in the sanctuary and online. Masks are required in the sanctuary, with the exception of the balcony. To enter the virtual room, go to tinyurl.com/22-23fpc. To prevent disruptive intrusions, the virtual room will be locked about 15 minutes after the service begins. FPC apologizes for any inconvenience this causes. FPC warmly welcomes gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people. For information about child care and religious education classes, contact FPC Acting Director of Religious Education Marissa Evans at [email protected]. FPC’s facilities are wheelchair accessible. For more information, call 978-897-8149 or visit www.fpc-stow-acton.org. The church is located at 353 Great Rd., at the corner of routes 117 and 62, in Stow.
