All are welcome to a spiritual and musical celebration of The Beatles 60 years after they first arrived in the U.S. on Feb. 7, 1964. On Feb. 11, at 10 a.m., FPC will hold a service – online and virtually - exploring the enduring appeal of the Beatles' music and its relevance today.
This all-ages service will include performances by the FPC Choir, the FPC Children’s Choir and Ukutarians, and the Parish Jazz Band, including a performance of Blackbird by Parish Jazz Band leader and guitarist Michael Paladini.
The Rev. Dr. Cynthia L. Landrum will lead the service, along with Music Director Chris Hossfeld, and Religious Education Director Rayla D. Baldwin-Mattson.
“When artists have an enduring quality that lasts decades after the creation of their work, it’s often because they’ve tapped into something deeper — justice, inspirational beauty, spirituality, universal truths, awe and wonder,” said Rev. Landrum (aka Rev. Cindy). “In the case of the Beatles, it's all of these, and that’s why we’re doing this service.”
The service will take place both in person and virtually. Masks are optional. To enter the virtual room, go to tinyurl.com/22-23fpc. For more information, call 978-897-8149 or visit www.fpc-stow-acton.org. The church is located at 353 Great Rd., Stow.
