Choral Open Rehearsal - Assabet Valley Mastersingers

Northborough, MA, November 13th: Are you looking for choral experience in a community of welcoming, inclusive, respectful, collegial, and talented vocalists? Do you value high artistic standards? Welcome to Assabet Valley Mastersingers (AVM). Please come join us for our Open Rehearsal on Monday, November 18th for our Elijah concert in March. Rehearsals are Monday evenings from 7:30 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. and are held at First Congregational Church, 19 Church Street, Shrewsbury, MA. Interested vocalists (18+) are invited to attend an AVM Open Rehearsal to get a sense of how regular rehearsals are run and of the group itself. Come early so that you can meet the Membership Chair, Deb Wallace, and section leaders, and get music for rehearsal. College students and High School juniors and seniors are also invited to perform with us via one of the pre-membership programs mentioned below. Open Rehearsal Date: Monday - November 18, 2024 If after an Open Rehearsal you would like to continue with the group, please let the Membership Chair know as an audition is required to join AVM. We ask that you prepare a piece to provide the Artistic Director with a sense of your voice qualities. The meeting with the Artistic Director will be scheduled at a mutually convenient time, generally prior to a Monday rehearsal. We believe singing fosters an environment of fun, joy, and worth. While vocal training is not essential, basic musicianship, a good musical ear, and a dedication and love for the choral classics are a must for AVM vocalists.
