This is a hybrid program! We will be meeting in the Conference Room (masks required) and online via Zoom. Please register above as occupancy for the room will be capped to allow us to meet safely. Online registrants will receive the link to join virtually.
This month we will be reading Silent Spring by Rachel Carson. Print and/or audiobook copies of the adult and young adult publishing will be available at the main library; you may pick up a copy in person, or by using our curbside pickup option.
First published in 1962, Silent Spring can singlehandedly be credited with sounding the alarm and raising awareness of humankind's collective impact on its own future through chemical pollution. No other book has so strongly influenced the environmental conscience of Americans and the world at large.
