Winners of the 2025 Granite State State Blues Challenge, Bees Deluxe are gearing up to represent the region at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis in January. Known for pushing boundaries without losing their respect for the blues tradition, the band blends inventive originals with audacious re-imaginings of classics by artists like Etta James, Billie Holiday, Joe Zawinul, and J.B. Lenoir. Every performance is fresh, daring, and unpredictable.
Unlike bands that stick to worn-out standards, Bees Deluxe thrive on exploration. Their shows are packed with “off-the-beaten-path” covers and creative new arrangements that showcase the band’s artistry, chemistry, and fearless approach to the genre. They’ve already shared the stage with legends like Ronnie Earl, Walter Trout, Joanne Shaw Taylor, and Roomful of Blues, and now they’re bringing their electrifying sound to Shirley.
