Writing Your Artists' Statement - A Zoom workshop

Thursdays, June 20 & 27, 6-7PM Do you need an artist statement for your website or gallery submissions? Come join this two-part workshop to flex your bragging muscles, use more descriptive language, and craft an artist statement you’re proud of. Bring your artist’s resume (if you have one), a few images of your own favorite works, and your sense of play. All are welcome. In this two part workshop we will approach: - How to write an Artist statement without bragging? - How can you explain your work and your approach to it? This workshop will be offered via Zoom. You will receive a Zoom link a few days before. We require a minimum of 4 people and a maximum of 8. The Workshop will not be recorded so plan to be available for each session. Students will have ample time to share and get feedback. This workshop is open to students age 18 and up. About the Instructor: Adriana Grant is a poet and journalist, with a background in writing art reviews and art-making. Adriana has been facilitating groups since September 2018, trained by and working with Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance of Boston (DBSA - Boston), Cambridge Women's Center and National Alliance on Mental Illness - New Hampshire (NAMI-NH) You can read more about Adriana at adrianagrant.net.
