Wilmington University, in collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS), is proudly launching its participation in AWS Academy to advance the shared mission of providing students and community members with equitable access to the cloud computing skills needed to succeed in today’s digital economy.
To celebrate this launch, Wilmington University is hosting the very first event in its new Quarterly Speaker Series. It’s an open invitation for students, educators, and community members alike to hear directly from industry leaders—people who are shaping where technology is headed and how it can open doors for everyone. This isn’t just about cloud computing—it’s about learning how digital skills create real opportunities and bring more equity into our communities.
The FREE session “Cloud for All: Expanding Access to AWS Learning,” takes place Wednesday, Oct. 1, at 6 p.m. (virtual). Featuring Chris Ott, Head of AWS Academy, the session will explore how AWS is driving community impact and expanding equity in cloud education. Register at www.wilmu.edu/continuinged/aws
AWS Academy courses help students develop in-demand cloud computing skills by providing hands-on experience in the AWS Cloud and lessons based on actual industry scenarios. AWS Academy courses and learning resources are aligned to industry-recognized AWS Certification.
