As I wrote and directed this documentary, my goal was to start the conversation regarding breast cancer and breast health. As it is important to talk about the disease, it is equally important to talk about prevention. Some prevention methods include, but not limited to: breastfeeding, reducing sugary and alcoholic intake, exercising, eating nutritional foods, not smoking, and achieving a healthy body weight [Cited: Helen F. Graham Cancer Center and Research Institute, Community Research Advisory Board]. It is also important to learn your family cancer history, know your body, and advocate for yourself!
