Good Friday Cantata Service
Each movement of this work for piano and choir is based one of the fourteen stations of the cross. Scripture readings will be interspersed throughout the piece. Baritone soloist Kevin Godinez (Academy of Vocal Arts resident), who sang for last year’s service, will join the Chancel Choir.
In addition, cellist Justin Miller will play Bach’s “Cello suite no. 1 G Major, Prelude”, and accompany our Music Director, Ryan Peteraf, on Arvo Pärt’s “Spiegel im Spiegel” for piano and cello.
We hope that you will take time out of your busy schedules to join us for what will be a very meaningful evening of prayer and music to reflect on the Good Friday message.
