SERAFIN FOUR SEASONS | BAROQUE IS BACH!
On Friday, November 7th (7pm) at Grace United Methodist Church in Wilmington The Serafins perform BAROQUE IS BACH! The centerpiece of this program of 17th Century works is the famed Double Concerto for Two Violins by J.S. Bach. Also included are works by Handel, Corelli, and Leclair, and a set of Spanish harpsichord pieces.
Bach’s Concerto in D Minor for Two Violins will be performed by Hal Grossman and Kate Ransom, with an outstanding supporting ensemble of strings and harpsichord. Gabriel Benton’s solo harpsichord virtuosity will be on display, and Jacques-Pierre Malan will shine ina Handel sonata for cello and harpsichord. Hal Grossman’s violin virtuosity is on tap in a Corelli sonata, and he is joined by Kate Ransom in a charming duo by Leclair. Artistry and skill abound in this varied program for strings and harpsichord.
