GLEN EAGLE SQUARE TO HOLD GRAND OPENING CELEBRATION FOR TWO ‘LITTLE FREE LIBRARIES’

WHAT: To celebrate “Read Across America Week,” which kicks off on Thursday, March 2nd, Glen Eagle Square, an open-air lifestyle shopping center in Glen Mills, Pennsylvania (https://www.gleneaglesquare.com), invites the community to the ribbon-cutting ceremonies for two brand-new “Little Free Libraries” to be permanently installed at the center. The ribbon-cutting ceremony for the first library, located in front of White House Black Market, will take place on Thursday, March 2nd, at 11 a.m., followed immediately by the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the second library, located in front of Calico Corners and Clean Juice. In the spirit of Read Across America Week, and to help foster a love for reading among area children, following the ribbon cuttings, there will also be story readings and light refreshments at Athleta and Kurtz Collection. Representatives from the local Rachel Kohl Community Library will cut the ribbons and deliver the story readings to children during the event. From February 14th through March 6th, the center will have a series of conveniently accessible collection boxes throughout the center where the community can donate child-appropriate books to fill the two Little Free Libraries; any excess books collected will be donated to the Rachel Kohl Community Library and to local schools in need. The new mini libraries are part of the Little Free Library project, a program that envisions a Little Free Library in every community and a book for every reader. Each Little Free Library book-sharing box plays an important role in providing children with easy access to beloved books to encourage a lifelong love of reading. The ribbon-cutting events at Glen Eagle Square are free and open to the public; no pre-registration is required. For more information, visit https://www.gleneaglesquare.com.
