Dress up as your favorite paleontologist, or gear up with your very own field outfit and notes provided by us! In this interactive program, children learn what a paleontologist is, what they wear, and what tools they use in the field. Enjoy immersive STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) activities such as dinosaur skeleton collages and a dimetrodon shaker craft. Get ready to explore a mini hands-on dig site created just for junior paleontologists, where participants uncover fossils and bones and document their finds just like real scientists, then take a break at our relaxing “field station” after your big dig. Designed for children ages 3 and up, children under 3 may have difficulty with many of the program’s activities. Program will be held OUTSIDE, so please dress for the weather! Rain date of Sunday, September 28
Pre-registration strongly recommended. Walk-ups welcome as space allows. If program fills, a second time will open.
$15/member child, free for member adults (limit two adults per child; additional adults $5 each). $25/non-member child, $15.50/non-member adult. NOTE: We have provided a rain date, so no refunds will be given unless the raindate is cancelled.
