Lititz Moravian Collegium Musicum Concert
The Lititz Moravian Collegium Musicum is the oldest chamber orchestra in Lancaster Co, founded in Lititz in the mid 18th century. The LMCM and the Millersville University Chorale will present an evening of select music from our historic collection of musical manuscripts. At intermission the historic Lititz Moravian John Antes 1764 viola, known as the first viola made in America by an American, will be discussed and demonstrated. After the concert, visitors are invited to our adjacent museum to view the three extant Antes instruments ... a violin, viola and cello ... on display together for the first time!
