Serve Up Hope — A Pickleball Fundraiser for Awareness & Education Hosted by The Brenda & Wesley Charity for Hope and Education, Inc. Join us for Serve Up Hope, an afternoon filled with purpose, fun, and community connection! November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month, a time dedicated to shining a light on one of the toughest cancers and honoring the warriors, survivors, and families impacted by this disease. Taking place just before World Pancreatic Cancer Day (November 20, 2025), Serve Up Hope is part of a larger movement to raise awareness, encourage early detection, and stand in solidarity with everyone touched by pancreatic cancer. At The Brenda & Wesley Charity for Hope and Education, we believe in doing more than spreading awareness — we believe in creating impact. This event brings together two powerful missions under one roof: 💜 Pancreatic Cancer Awareness & Research — Raising awareness about symptoms, supporting families, and honoring those we’ve lost to pancreatic cancer through remembrance initiatives like “Names That Live On.” 📚 Education & Opportunity — Supporting the Bank-at-School Program, an initiative run in partnership with FCCB (First Citizens Community Bank). Through this program, we aim to donate $1 to each Thomas Edison Charter School student so they can open their very first savings account. The program, which has served Delaware students for more than 30 years, provides free savings accounts and teaches lifelong financial literacy skills through hands-on banking experiences in schools. By joining us, you’re helping us build brighter futures and honor those who inspire hope every day. EVENT DETAILS: 📅 Date: Saturday, November 15, 2025 🕑 Time: 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM 📍 Location: Bounce Pickleball, Downtown Wilmington, Delaware Whether you’re a seasoned player or brand new to the game, this event is for you! 🏓 Beginners Welcome: Instructors will be available to teach the basics of pickleball — the sport that’s sweeping the nation. 🎾 Experienced Players: Enjoy open play and friendly matches with other participants. 🎶 Great Music: Feel the energy of the community as you play, laugh, and connect. 🍴 Light Snacks: Refreshments will be provided to keep your energy up on and off the court. 🤝 Community Spirit: Meet others who share your passion for giving back and spreading awareness. Every ticket sold helps move us closer to two vital goals — supporting families affected by pancreatic cancer and empowering young students with financial education tools that set them up for success. ✨ Why “Serve Up Hope”? Watson Sr., two remarkable individuals whose legacies continue to inspire acts of kindness, service, and education.
