Join the Faith Deanna Johnson Foundation, "Dreams of Faith" 501(c)(3) organization, for our 4th Annual 5K Ovarian Cancer Awareness Run-Walk & Health Fair on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Bob Hannah Stadium, University of Delaware South Campus, 631 S. College Ave, Newark, DE. Registration is welcomed. RAIN OR SHINE EVENT. We will have a tent!
This year's theme, Choose Hope, reflects what September—Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month—means to our community: standing together, honoring survivors, remembering loved ones lost, and choosing to move forward with hope for more Awareness and Early Detection to SAVE LIVES!
WHAT TO EXPECT
RAIN OR SHINE! We Support the Cause! Run or walk a 5K (as much or litlle as you want) open to all ages and fitness levels—go at your own pace, solo or with a team. Before or after the race-walk, enjoy the Health Fair featuring local health organizations, wellness resources, and screenings relevant to ovarian cancer, and health concerns for the entire family. The morning also includes live music, local vendors, food, prizes, and a special moment to celebrate survivors and honor loved ones, including the legacy of Faith Deanna Johnson (the inspiration for this organization who lost her battle to ovarian cancer at age 26).
WHY IT MATTERS
Ovarian cancer is often called a "silent" disease because early symptoms are easy to miss, over 80% of females are diagnosed at an advanced stage and most die. Awareness saves lives. Every participant, donation, and conversation this event sparks helps fund program resources, education, research and support for those affected—and the families who love them.
GET INVOLVED
Can't make the starting line? You can still be part of it. Volunteer, donate, or simply share the event with people in your life—every bit of support helps the Foundation reach more people during Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month. The Faith Deanna Johnson Foundation was built on the belief that no one should face ovarian cancer or any gynecologic cancer alone, and that hope, community, and education can change outcomes.
HOW TO REGISTER
Registration is completely free. Scan the QR code on our flyer or visit www.FaithDeannaJohnson.org to register and, if you're able, make a donation to support the Foundation's work year-round.
DAY-OF DETAILS
Check-in, same-day registration and Health Fair opens at 8:00 AM. The Run Starts at 9AM with the walk following the run. Wear comfortable shoes or just cheer others on, and help us honor the color TEAL! Kids, strollers, and walkers of every pace are welcome—this is a come-as-you-are event.
