Final Mile Tribute: A Veterans' Honor Walk at the DC Half Marathon
This is a special invitation to an extraordinary event happening on September 15th in Washington, D.C., where we would be honored to have you participate as a flag bearer, representing our state. Joe Nail, CEO of Lead for America, U.S. Army Infantry Officer, member of the National Marathon Team, and a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree, has spent this summer completing an inspiring challenge—running 50 marathons and performing over 50,000 push-ups in honor of our veterans as part of Project 1310 (joenail.run). As a Stanford MBA candidate and dedicated advocate for veterans, Joe’s journey has garnered significant media attention, and we would be thrilled if you could join us to commemorate the conclusion of this iconic mission.
Lead For America is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that helps veterans and the next generation of leaders return to their communities and become civic leaders. To mark the end of this remarkable effort, Joe will be participating in the DC Half Marathon and will be joined at the finish line by local runners, veterans, and dignitaries at West Potomac Park at 9:15 AM on September 15th. Together, they will walk or roll to the steps of the WWII Memorial, symbolizing the culmination of a summer dedicated to honoring those who have served.
