Alexandria Black history bicycle ride
Hear about Hannah Jackson, who in 1820 became one of the first Black women in Alexandria to own land. Stop by the Freedom House Museum, where one of the country's largest slave-trading companies used to be. Find out why the Oswald Durant Center was named after a pioneering Black doctor. Learn about some of Alexandria's Black-owned businesses, including the cafe where we'll end the ride.
