WEC Community Resource Fair
Washington English Center is gearing up for its annual event, a Community Resource Fair where individuals can connect with more than 40 organizations offering legal, health, career, child care, and educational resources from across the DMV area.
The fair will take place on Friday, February 6, from 11:30am-2:00pm at 1100 G St NW, Suite 200 in downtown D.C., directly across the street from Metro Center and just a few blocks from the Gallery Place/Chinatown metro stop.
Participating organizations include the Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center (APALRC), CentroNía, DC Central Kitchen, Jubilee Jobs, La Clínica del Pueblo, Northern Virginia Family Services, SMYAL, and Upwardly Global.
Washington English Center is a nonprofit English language school that has been serving adult immigrants and refugees in the DMV area for over 30 years. If you ask the staff, their mission goes beyond that.
The fair is open to the whole community! There will be a raffle with prizes and free health screenings (lipid panel, CMO, and A1C). To attend, RSVP now by clicking "Get Tickets."
