The event is co-hosted by the Loudoun Environmental Education Alliance (LEEA), the Northwest Virginia Regional GREENetwork, and Loudoun County Public Schools (LCPS). It is also sponsored by CMTA.
The purpose of Loudoun SEAS is to amplify youth voices in environmental problem solving by showcasing how students have meaningfully contributed to environmental stewardship in Loudoun County.
This event will showcase exhibits and artwork of environmentally-themed projects and ongoing activities. Individual students, green/eco-action teams, environmental clubs and youth groups are invited to share their work on reducing waste, conserving energy, improving water quality, preserving natural habitat and other sustainability-minded projects or activities in their schools and communities.
Participation is open to all K-12 students in Loudoun County representing public and private schools, homeschoolers, and members of community-based youth organizations such as 4-H clubs and Scout troops.
In addition, community partners that are LEEA members will provide exhibits about how students and the community can benefit from their programs and services.
Students and community partners interested in participating in the showcase must register by April 4, 2023 at https://loudounnature.org/loudoun-seas. There is no cost to participate in this event, however we encourage all organizations to join LEEA.
