Kidsave Hike With Your Heart

Hike With Your Heart gives people the opportunity to meet families formed through Kidsave, kids who are currently in the program, and Kidsave volunteers and staff, while raising funds to support all that Kidsave does to help older kids in foster care find a loving family. What started as a simple outdoor event to enjoy nature and introduce the community to local kids in foster care, soon became Kidsave’s top outdoor fundraising and advocacy event. Registration includes a group hike, a t-shirt, light breakfast, and connections with our Kidsave community. Kidsave bandanas can also be purchased at registration check-out. Participants will meet at the start of the bridge near the parking lot after registration, and the event will continue until early afternoon with more time for fellowship and connection. All funds raised will go to support Kidsave’s programs which help older kids in foster care connect with families and build relationships that will last a lifetime, whether it’s through mentorship or adoption. Kidsave develops model programs and creates policies to help children who are often overlooked and forgotten in foster care and orphanages meet adoptive families. Through Kidsave’s Family Visit programs, host families welcome a child into their home and work with Kidsave to use their networks, circles of influence, and the local media to introduce the child to a family that will adopt them. Our programs operate in the United States, Colombia, Ukraine, and Sierra Leone.
