WALK FOR ALZHEIMER'S - JOIN FAIRFAX PETS ON WHEELS AND THE VIRGINIAN MEMORY CARE RESIDENTS

HELP US MAKE A DIFFERENCE: JOIN OUR WALK AND MATCH OUR DONATION TO FIGHT ALZHEIMER’S The Virginian has partnered with Fairfax Pets on Wheels (FPOW) to raise funds for Alzheimer's research. Our program officially launches on June 20th, the Longest Day of the year. June is also Alzheimer's and Brain Awareness Month. To kick off this important initiative, The Virginian has pledged a donation of $2,500 to the Alzheimer's Foundation. We invite the local community, friends, and families to join our team of volunteers and therapy dogs – Cavalier King Charles Spaniels Clint Eastwood and Rosie, and Golden Retrievers Beaker and Simba – in our walk around the community. The event begins at 10:00 AM with refreshments at 9:30 AM. Everyone will be able to join the half-mile walk around the front of our community. The Virginian’s electric golf cart will be available to transport participants who want to join the walk. We aim to have the community collectively match our donation during a series of walks every month through November, culminating in Alzheimer's Awareness Month. The Virginian’s Shenandoah residents will be walking with FPOW volunteers and their therapy dogs to raise money for this important cause.
