The Fredericksburg Torch Club December meets in the Stube Room, of The Alpine Chef on Wednesday, December 14, featuring a presentation of historic buildings in Fredericksburg in holiday seasons past and present. Our guest speaker, Beth Daly, who has been a member of HFFI for at least thirty years, will briefly highlight the HFFI's origins and activities in Fredericksburg before delving into the rich history of Fredericksburg and it's wealth of Architectural gems, as she weaves the social lore of our storied city. Born and raised in Ohio, Beth Daly graduated from Ohio University and lived in California before moving to Virginia in 1978. She has lived in Stafford County since 1980, and became involved with HFFI soon afterwards. Ms. Daly originally helped record oral histories before writing scripts for preservation tours. While tour scripts are now primarily written by an HFFI board member who is an Historic Architect, Ms. Daly is still involved with the oral history program.
5:30 PM Social Hour with one free NA Mulled Cider and Cash Bar, 6:15 PM Presentation, followed by Q&A, 7:00 PM Dinner, with Wild Game Menu Option.
To guarantee a seat, RSVP to [email protected] or 804-263-0721, by 5PM Monday, 12/12.
