Faculty and students from the famed Peabody Conservatory in Baltimore come to share their talents. This program features some of the inspired chamber compositions of the prolific yet short-lived Franz Schubert: his Sonata in A-minor, D. 821 ("Arpeggione") for cello and piano; and Schubert's final String Quartet No. 15 in G-major, D. 887.
Tickets are $45 and may be purchased at the door, online at http://www.amadeusconcerts.com or via telephone at (703) 759-5334. Students 17 and under and active military are admitted free of charge. There is ample free parking.
A pre-concert lecture by Music Director A. Scott Wood will begin at 3:15 pm, 45 minutes prior to the start of the concert.
A reception, with refreshments, will follow the concert, at which attendees may meet and chat with the performers and fellow music lovers.
