Organist and NPR Host Peter DuBois in Concert Sunday, November 12
The St. Andrew the Apostle Concert Series presents organist Peter DuBois in a free concert featuring works by Bach, Schumann, as well as French Romantic composers on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at 4 pm at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Clifton, Virginia.
DuBois is the Director of Music/Organist Emeritus at Third Presbyterian Church, Rochester, New York. He is also the host and producer of NPR’s With Heart and Voice, a weekly program of sacred choral and organ music featured on more than 125 public radio stations nationwide.
Along with works by Bach and Schumann, DuBois’s St. Andrew concert concludes with Louis Vierne’s thrilling fantasy Carillon de Westminster, based on the chimes of the tower of Westminster in London, England. Stay after the concert for a free post-concert reception where you can mingle with friends and meet the artist.
DuBois holds degrees from the Eastman School of Music and the University of Michigan. From 2000-2014 he served as Assistant Professor of Sacred Music at the Eastman School of Music, and Director of the Sacred Music Diploma program. Previously, he has taught at West Virginia Wesleyan College and The University of Charleston. He is represented by Windwerk Artists, www.windwerkartists.com.
