THE SHOPS AT WALDORF CENTER INVITES YOUNG ENTREPRENEURS TO ITS SHARK TANK COMPETITION

The Shops at Waldorf Center, an open-air lifestyle shopping center located just minutes from the Capital Beltway in Waldorf, Maryland (https://theshopsatwaldorfcenter.com), will host its fifth annual Youth Day Festival and Shark Tank Competition on Saturday, August 17th, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The event is designed to showcase the business ventures of the area’s youngest entrepreneurs while providing a series of fun-filled, family-friendly activities for the entire community to enjoy. Before the event, young entrepreneurs (ages 17 and under) can sign up to be a vendor, displaying their products or services to the public during the event; renting a space costs $25 and young entrepreneurs must provide their own tables and chairs. Young entrepreneurs will also have an opportunity to pitch their businesses to a panel of judges; the winner in each category will receive a $500 business grant. In addition to the Youth Shark Tank Competition, this year’s event, which will be held in the parking lot adjacent to Cava and Panera Bread, will also feature lawn games, moon bounces, a petting zoo, a corn hole competition, face painting, live music, arts and crafts, food trucks and more. While there are fees to participate in the Shark Tank Competition ($25/space, no refunds), simply attending the August 17th event is free and open to the public; no pre-registration is required to attend.
